A day with Daddy and more pictures...

Definitely the funnest time of the week is Saturdays when Daddy is home!! Fun and pretty crazy because obviously, it's Joe. So it started off with daddy was SUPPOSED to be painting the kitchen. Instead he decided to put Finn in a mailing box, then he wanted to feed him carrots but thought it was funny to decorate his face with them, made him a cardboard crown, gave him a cookie which Finn then bit and almost choked on, I think you can tell by Finn's face in the 3rd picture what he thought? He sure does love his dad though and I'm pretty sure will appreciate his craziness more and more and he gets older...If you'd like to see more pictures you can go to my flickr page:

I took all my "trying to be a deep photographer" pictures off because Im a mom now and replaced them all with Finn :) Can you believe he's almost 6 months old? 

Finn's room FINALLY done!

Now that the 5 month blur is over, and Finn is getting older and can play on his own for a while, I feel like I can finally start to get back to having a little bit of time for myself....so I decided to finish his room!  Before he was born I soooo bad wanted to do some kind of tree stenciled on the wall, but yeah that never happened. So after thinking for months about what am i going to put on that one blank wall.. finally I mixed together tons of different ideas I saw in catalogs/blogs etc and made my own little nursery art! I sacrificed some old books from our attic and a few shirts I don't wear anymore, but I think it was worth it. Since the books were Finn's great grandfathers and the leaves are from my old clothes I hope someday it will mean something to him maybe... I read somewhere that you get your nursery all decorated for your baby...but really the baby has no idea what is in there so really you should make it somewhere that makes you comfortable and happy..I think that is so true! I'm almost excited to wake up and go in there tonight at 2 a.m....and 4...and 7...

Soo...Finn has been old enough to go in his doorway jumper for about a month..but I just can't get him to like it!! I wish he would just have fun and jump around, but he literally just sits in it, acting like it is the stupidest most boring thing in the world. He makes me laugh more and more every day... I just love his personality...such a little stinker :)

Sick,sick,sick..

I haven't posted in so long! Well we are (almost) through with our first experience with having a sick baby. Finn got his first fever about a week 1/2 ago, almost 103. It was horrible. Especially considering that Joe was sick, and I got the H1N1 shot that day and had a horrible reaction to it...and then got sick too. So it was not fun, but now the little guy just has a slight cough and is back to his old self! Our personal family nurse Aunt Linda thinks he might have had the swine flu. Which I kind of hope is true, because at least he made it through ok and it wasn't TOO bad...anyway he has had a very exciting weekend! He got to hang out with his Grandma and all his aunts and uncles on the Gimbrone side that came out to the farm....which was very fun because Finn is a VERY good little boy if you come to his house! Then he also got to see his entire extended family on the Morgan side which was very fun too..he did so awesome even though it was a week filled with company and going places! He also rolled over for the first time (yaaay), and is becoming so happy to just play by himself and ALMOST can even go to sleep by himself. If only..he would stay asleep for, oh i don't know, more than an hour and a half. It's 11 right now and he has already woken 4 times :( Oh well, i'm pretty sure he will grow out of it someday. More pictures coming soon, I've seriously been hesitating to post because I wanted to put a picture of him smiling but I just can't catch it! P.s. he does not have red hair even though this picture looks like he does? Isn't he the cutest?!?

3 Months

Finn is a little over 3 months old and becoming so much fun.  now you can lay him on the floor and he will just look at you and smile and say ggggggggggg...and drool all over the place. He loves music (especially daddy playing him guitar), wind or blowing in his face, sucking on your finger or his own hands, sitting in his chair, being swaddled, and he loves his baths!! He's pretty much becoming a real baby and he's pretty much awesome. I am posting a video on here that I took on the first day he laughed. He has only done it a few times since then, so I keep watching it because it was the cutest sound I ever heard in my life. Incase you are wondering what the heck sound I am making in it Im pretending to bite his hands...

It's Fall!

The weather has been so amazing this weekend we decided to take Finn for a walk on Saturday afternoon, it was so fun! We wanted to see how he would do in the baby bjorn, and he loved it...He slept half the time, and then when he woke up he mostly just licked it... he loves to taste everything! He is really starting to "talk" baby talk, every morning he just goes on and on while me and Joe listen...overall he is really starting to grow and change so fast now, and...HE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!

Finn is sooo cute in the morning! He slowly goes from sleepy, to kind of mad, getting happier, then he just starts laughing and smiling for like 15 minutes! 

6 weeks old!

Here's a recent picture of Finn in his carseat. He is awake and alert now most of the day which is so cool. The funniest thing about him is he always looks mad or concerned...and just stares...it's hilarious. It makes it so much cuter and more exciting when he smiles..

 Finn is definitely starting to recognize me now! He gets quiet when someone hands him to me and when he looks at me I can just tell it's different. All my hard work is starting to pay off!

Finn goes blueberry picking!

We took Finn to "Erdle Farms" in Silver Creek this weekend to go blueberry picking! He did pretty good..had to stop and feed him a few times but we had a special moment under a willow tree when Finn gave me his first SMILE! No one believes me but I'm sure in a few weeks he will be doing it all the time. It was a super fun day...and the owner took this picture of all of us and said he will be putting it on his website!

One month old!

I can't believe our little baby is almost one month old. He is the best thing that have ever happened to us and we love him more than we ever thought we could! It has been a big adjustment having a newborn to take care of, but it's been so worth it.

Matt & Jody's Wedding 6.20.09

This was such an awesome, awesome day. I am so glad Finn decided to wait a little longer so that I could be a part of it. I don't have any pictures of the actual wedding day yet..I haven't even seen any, but this is what I looked like the day before at rehearsal...not the best picture I know.  One of the girls got shirts made for us that said "bridesmaid", and she got mine made in a maternity size so that's why its a different color blue than everyone else's, I thought that was so cute of her to do that. Hopefully I'll post more pictures soon when I get them.

I just wanted to say....Ahhhh! Look above!!!! I never thought I would actually make it that close to the bird nest!!

Ohhh man...

Ok..so I know I might not look like I have gotten that much bigger from 3 weeks ago but I really have, I'm huge. Now I know why pregnant girls do that pose in pictures where they put their hands on their lower backs because it makes your arms look skinnier! I forgot to do that. Oh well anyway more importantly Finn is about 4 1/2 lbs now, still measuring great and the doctor says I will definitely make it a few more weeks, at least. We are totally ready for him. And I am totally ready for him to be OUT!! I am having a hard time functioning in every day life. I have had the easiest pregnancy up until this point but now I can't sleep, i'm not very hungry and just overall I am pretty uncomfortable. Only one month to go though, although I feel like neither me or him could get any bigger. I CAN"T WAIT for our little boy.

Finn's room update and 31 week picture

Only 9 weeks to go I can't believe it...Well i finally am making some progress on his room...i repainted it blue I know super traditional but it just seemed right. I am actually obsessed with the artwork I got (thanks to Mike) it's from this artist called "Creative Thursday" and she has the coolest artwork for kids rooms and just in general. The bear is one example his name is "Oliver" then there is a giraffe named Sam and the other one is called "two lovebirds wearing hats" which made me laugh really hard so I got it. Anyway more importantly at our 8 month check up we found out Finn is head down and hopefully will stay that way until he is ready to come out!! The midwife also said his heart rate went up when she pushed on him a little with the doppler which she said was very good for this "gestation period".  Yaaay..I am at the point where I want to hold him so bad I can hardly stand it. Oh and this weekend is our first BABY SHOWER!! I am so, so excited...more news soon :)

28 weeks!

Finally Moved in..

Joe and I finally moved into the farm this week! Joe has been working on the house non stop repairing walls, and he even taught himself how to install hardwood floors and did an awesome job on our new room that we will be staying in. I put some pictures up so you can see the progress! This is the room next to the bathroom....

Baby's Room

Joe and I just finished painting his room...it was so exciting and such a fun day. It is a really pale green, we wanted it to be soft but bright at the same time since it will probably be a nursery for a pretty long time....it turned out so good and goes perfect with the crib and changing table that we got from friends. The floor is ordered and will be in about 2 weeks from now. I think he is going to love it!
